Singapore, 25 October 2024 – The East Asia Institute of Management (EAIM) and Tourism Management Institute of Singapore (TMIS) held its annual graduation ceremony today, marking a significant milestone for the class of 2024. Held at the institutes’ picturesque campus, the event was attended by graduates, faculty, families, and distinguished guests, all coming together to honour the achievements of the students.
This year, we celebrated over 230 graduates from De Montfort University, Heriot-Watt University, Queen Margaret University and TMIS. The day began with a formal procession, where students donned their caps and gowns, proudly representing the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
The keynote address was delivered by Chairman and CEO of East Asia Institute of Management and Executive Chairman of Tourism Management Institute of Singapore, Mr. Mark Chua, “This journey is not only about gaining academic skills, but also about developing the character and values necessary to contribute meaningfully to the society. I am proud to say that EAIM and TMIS have played an integral role in this transformative experience.” In his inspiring speech, he also emphasised the importance of resilience and adaptability in today's ever-changing world, urging graduates to embrace challenges and pursue lifelong learning.
Learning and knowledge are deeply ingrained in our sibling pair, Edmund S/O Edward Govindasamy and Esther D/O Edward Govindasamy, both classmates and graduates of the Master of Business Administration (Global) awarded by De Monfort University, Leicester. “My brother was the one who encouraged me,” said Esther who was initially unconfident about pursuing her Master’s but is now a proud graduate and ready to move on to the next phase in life.
We congratulate all our graduands and alumni. Happy Graduation Day!
