This module is linked to the performance of its inbound and outbound supply chains. Operations, logistics and supply chain management as well as integrated channels of distribution are all vital to ensuring that products and services are delivered efficiently to customers in a timely manner. This unit develops a critical understanding of relevant theory as well as practical insight into effective channel and operations design, implementation and management. It also emphasizes the importance of building effective relationships with stakeholders including suppliers, intermediaries, wholesalers, retailers and customers.

With the exponential growth of online retail, E-commerce logistics is a fast-emerging critical enabler of digitalising economies around the world. Topics may include the various types of e-commerce logistics, quality control, demand forecasting, order processing, inventory management, packaging and labelling, shipping and carrier management, last-mile delivery, customer service and communication, and returns management. You will learn and master practical intricacies of how to streamline and manage the entire business supply chain, optimise operations, reduce costs, improve and enhance the customer experience.

The emphasis of this module is on the adopted strategies of organisations for global passenger and goods movement. It covers strategic planning aligned with organizational goals, explores cutting-edge technologies like Transport Management Systems, and integrates transportation with global logistics. Emphasis on sustainable practices, risk management in the face of disruptions, and interdisciplinary collaboration with emerging trends. In the dynamic and evolving realm of transport management within a globalized context, individuals gain strategic insights and advanced skills, preparing for leadership roles.

As projects drive change in a dynamic organisation, successful managers today are required to be able to apply appropriate approaches, knowledge, skills, tools and techniques towards the completion of large and complex initiatives and product development. Students will gain an excellent grounding and acquire practical skills in a range of techniques and tools used by professional project managers to plan, lead, manage, direct, control and deliver their projects successfully.
