Advanced Diploma in Business Management (Marketing)
Programme Introduction
This course seeks to offer students further studies in business and marketing built upon the foundation provided at the Diploma level.
Programme Objective
Learning Objectives:
- To offer students a deeper understanding of various business concepts and potential opportunities in a dynamic business and marketing management environment.
- To provide students with deeper understanding, interpretation and analysis of various business scenarios; critical reflection and evaluation of objectives; undertaking of further research and analysis work, work based problem solving skills.
- To further develope an effective and analytical mindset and skill in business and marketing management, select and apply appropriate methodologies and devise solutions to the issues in business.
- To provide an in depth knowledge of the business and marketing environment and adopt creative and innovative approaches to the development of business and marketing functions.
- To develop deep analytical and evaluative skills in marketing and management.
Modules
Operations Management are activities that relate to creation of goods and services through the transformation of inputs into outputs. It seeks to create added-value for the organisation such that it will achieve sustainable competitive advantage by satisfying the needs of customers through the organisation’s products or services. Operations management is one of the most challenging topics in the business area. The purpose of this subject is to familiarise the students with the nature and processes of operations management and decision-making techniques used to overcome or minimise some common operating problems within organisations. In this subject, a balance of service and manufacturing applications is maintained.

Each module is assessed by academic work comprising written assignments, case study reports, essays, examination as determined by the subject profile. The assessment criterion varies from module to module and level to level.
Graduation Requirement
• Must passed all modules
• Must achieve an overall attendance of 90% (International Student) and 75% (Local Student).

Polytechnic related-Diploma, or EAIM Diploma or LCCI Diploma Level 4
Minimum EAIM ETEDP L2 or IELTS 5.0, or O-Level C6, or equivalent
