About the Programme

This programme is designed to prepare intemational students not only for entry into universities but also to ensure that students can cope with the rigour of a university degree programme. This is a pre-pathway programme that can help students build a solid business management foundation in their knowledge and skills, which is needed to qualify for further study. It also offer students the opportunity to take on other EAIM courses. This programme consists of a three-term course that provides an intensive, fast-track route to a university degree placement.

Students will develop their mathematical thinking and understanding of elementary number processes and reasoning techniques to stay relevant in the real world of business

Students will be equiped with strategies to become a more effective learner. They will increase their capability in analytical and critical thinking skills

The English Training for Entry into Degree Programme (ETEDP) is designed to equip students with the grasp of English language necessary for not only academic work but to effectively deal with a range of business concepts, vocabulary, themes, and topics for the successful fulfillment of their impeding degree course requirements. Students will get a strong foundation to fulfill general academic language requirements using the main language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – as well as being able to function comfortably in dealing with business topics and within realistic business context

Students will gain knowledge to understand the nature of business and key business functions. They will learn to develop a business plan by gathering and processing the relevant data needed of a business

Students will acquire a list of business-oriented vocabulary, specialising in key Chinese words and phrases in dealing with business topics and within realistic business context. This would enhance employability and career advancement with the ability to leverage on job opportunities in the China market

This module introduces students to fundamental concepts in computer science including topics such as propositional logic, set notation, the software lifecycle and user interface design.

* To choose ETEDP Businese English (Elective) as an elective module, students must have a minimum English language proficiency of IELTS 4.0 or equivalent

Assessment

Each online module is been assessed by academic work comprising assignments (online) and examination (online) as determined by the subject profile. The assessment criterion varies from module to module and level to level. There will also be assessment on online presentation

Graduation Requirement

• Must pass all modules.
• Must achieve an overall attendance of 90% (International Student)
