This module covers key knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts including the preparation of accounting entries for non-current assets; advanced bookkeeping; journals for correction of errors and year-end adjustments; trial balance and financial accounts. Students will be exposed to AP AR GL CB COA TB POS modules. Key areas such as making end of period adjustments, producing and analysing end period reports will be covered. This qualification is suitable for those working or intending to work in advanced accounting roles.

This module encompasses a wide range of transportation topics which are highly relevant in the fast changing world. Students will be exposed to some basic laws, transportation terms and legal effect, and also legal considerations in both logistics, forwarding and transportation contracts. Students get to understand the different types of contractual relationships and their effect and consequences, the legal issues in all types of transport-related accidents, and trade financing documents and their effects.

This module focuses on the strategic role of purchasing and procurement, and the latest developments in supply management. Students will understand the principles of purchasing and supply management, their application within various types of organisations. Students will follow purchasing cycle from its inception through bid solicitation, proposal receipt, evaluation, negotiation and contract. Using the six-step purchasing management process, student will learn how to develop and implement a successful purchasing strategy, select the best suppliers and employ effective negotiating techniques.

This module provides students with an understanding on the different economic systems and how the market works. Students will be exposed to the various micro-economic theories of demand and production, product pricing, market forms; price determination under perfect competition and imperfect competition, and the theory of distribution. In addition, students will learn the macro-economic theory of income and employment determination, National Income, Keynesian and monetarists' viewpoints, and the main macro-economic concerns of Inflation; Unemployment, as well as Macro-economic policies and International Trade.

This module introduces students to key challenges faced by managers in the new millennium. Learning includes the study of management concepts, management processes, and managerial roles in organization; classical, behavioural and contemporary viewpoints in management; organizational culture and social responsibility and ethics in management; planning and managerial decision making; organizing and organizational structure and design; leading, managing individuals and groups, motivation, leadership, employment relations and managerial control and control methods.

This module provides students a general overview of information systems concepts and its application to practical business situation. Students will learn to differentiate between data and information and learn the key attributes of information and the various types and levels of information. Students will also be exposed to the major areas of IS knowledge including Information Technologies - hardware, software, networks, data resource management, and Internet-based technologies; Business Applications; and Systems Development Processes.
