Advanced Diploma in Accountancy
Programme Introduction
The Advanced Diploma in Accountancy is designed to provide the knowledge essential to start in interesting and prosperous career opportunities in practically every industry. It is also a great way to learn a variety of practical skills that can be transferred to many areas in life.
This programme offers the student job stability as no matter how far technology or the global market develops, accounts will always be at the heart of a thriving business. The student will learn subjects such as Managerial Accounting, Management Information Systems and FinTech Applications, Financial Management, Computerised Accounting, Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2, Auditing 1, Taxation 1, and Financial Markets and Institutions.
Programme Objective
- To provide students with transferable skills and the ability to apply accountancy and financial related concepts and theories in the real world.
- To equip students with the core accountancy disciplines of competency of financial management, financial reporting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, and law.
- To provide students with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial management as it relates to the wider business context.
Modules
This module aims to allow learners who work in or want to work in accounting environments where they will be required to use management accounting techniques which contribute to effective decision making and control. This module covers inventory management, short-term decision making, accounting for overheads, budgetary planning and control, working capital management, standard costing and variances, costing methods, long-term decision making and management information systems.

One month prior to intake dates
1:150 (Classroom based lecture) 1:50 (Workgroup session)
Each module is assessed by academic work comprising written assignments, case study reports, essays, examination as determined by the subject profile. The assessment criterion varies from module to module and level to level.
Graduation Requirement
• Must passed all modules
• Must achieve an overall attendance of 90% (International Student) and 75% (Local Student)
Minimum Age Requirement: 17 years (at the time of application)
Relevant EAIM Diploma
or
Polytechnic Diploma
or
LCCI Diploma Level 4
or
Equivalent academic qualification from a recognized higher learning institution
Minimum EAIM ETEDP Level 2 / IELTS 5.5 / GCE O-Level C6 (For mature students who do not meet the above minimum academic entry requirements but have prior learning or work experience in the relevant fields, please contact EAIM for consultation.)
