Hello, my name is Shi Haowen. I am happy to share some of my experiences and tips about my O-level exams. I was very happy and surprised when I got my O-level results. First of all , it is a very good grade, and I can apply for many courses in polytechnic or college preparatory with this grade. This makes me very happy, and I am very grateful to my teachers and parents. This is also the result of my own efforts. After getting the results, I feel very satisfied and I applied to the mechanical engineering course. I hope to study engineering more, in depth. When I first came to Singapore, I see from the website that this school, EAIM, is suitable for students to study here, the teachers all speak and teach in English, and they are using diverse teaching methods. This makes me feel that it is very interesting. The teaching content is also very attractive to me, although there are many other courses that I can apply for or choose from, I chose this. The teachers will also listen to our questions patiently and help us to answer them one by one. The requirements for the courses are also very strict, the teacher will be very concerned about our personal attendance check, homework and academic status, which also makes me satisfied.

I was in Malaysia before I came here and was very eager to study in Singapore. My mother was trying to find a school for me so one of her friends recommended EAIM to her and said that EAIM is very good, with a long history as well as providing a variety of subject combinations. For my learning experience here, the lecturers here are very helpful because they are all very patient in answering all my questions, and they also always let us try the type of questions for us to prepare for the O-level examination. I think having a goal is very important for us. Only when we have a goal will we know where we want to go and how we can get there. After that, we should take action immediately because time do not wait for us.

EAIM brings students from all around the world, multiple cultures, different ethnicities and minorities into one group. It has been a very great experience for me with the guidance of the experienced lecturers and a supportive environment all together. I've grown academically and personally as well, such as gaining more confidence.

On my first day at EAIM, I experienced a mix of emotions. I was nervous, excited, and curious about how my learning journey would unfold. I wondered what my classes would be like, how the environment would feel, and how I would interact with people from different backgrounds. But the moment I stepped in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. That warmth immediately put me at ease and reassured me that choosing EAIM was truly the right choice for my academic future. I think that EAIM nurture students academically and beyond.

EAIM’s Certificate in Business English (CBE) course is helpful and well-planned. Unlike other language courses, CBE uses fresh materials and fresh concepts so that learners can integrate and absorb new knowledge and language through content. The course, which is divided into three stages, allows a learner to gradually develop valuable language skills with ease. What I find most beneficial is that we are able to learn thousands of business vocabulary items which are useful and practical for not just our next course but also our career. These include useful vocabulary in topics such as management, accounting, finance, human resource management and so many other business-based topics.

One thing about A-Levels is that you can choose whatever you like to study. Let’s say, if you’re academically inclined towards science, you can focus on subjects like mathematics, physics, and chemistry. I've learned some physical and mathematical theories which are essential for university studies and yes, I’m enjoying it too. One of the biggest challenges I faced is that the exam period is a little long, lasting over a month, but my advice is to not be nervous, have confidence and do your best.

My teachers has always given me the required academic support. We have consultation time where the teachers are here and you can ask any questions during the session. Our school also give emotional and psychological support. We have a qualified counsellor who you can ask or see when in need. I think that this is quite important for students, especially when they face pressure during their studies.
