East Asia Institute of Management and Aston University strengthen 14-Year Partnership with Outstanding Graduate Achievements

On November 17, our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mark Chua, accompanied by Academic Director Mr. Stanley Soh and Director, International Partnerships, Mr. Foo Wee Kiat, embarked on an official visit to the United Kingdom to meet with Aston University. The delegation engaged in substantive discussions with our long-standing academic partner, reviewing collaborative achievements, exploring future development plans, and further reinforcing and expanding the robust 14-year partnership between the two institutions.

Since the inception of the partnership in 2011, the jointly offered Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Bioscience (Top-Up) programme has produced over 520 distinguished graduates. Many of these students have attained First-Class Honours and, drawing upon their extensive professional knowledge and practical expertise, have excelled in the global healthcare and life sciences sectors. Their achievements have significantly enhanced the programme’s reputation and have established a robust academic foundation and a strong industry standing for the collaboration between the two institutions.

The partnership has been further strengthened through the successful introduction of two major programmes from Aston University: the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Global Business and Management (Top-up) and the Master of Science in Business and Management. These programmes provide students with an advanced pathway to develop high-level business expertise. As one of the world’s leading business schools and among the elite 1% globally to hold triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, Aston Business School enjoys an outstanding international reputation. Its curriculum is closely aligned with industry requirements, emphasising practical innovation and the development of a global perspective.

During this visit, our delegation had the distinct honour of meeting Professor Aleks Subic, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Aston University. Professor Subic offered profound insights and articulated a strategic vision for international education, with his forward-looking leadership serving as a valuable source of inspiration throughout the discussions. The delegation also benefited from the warm hospitality and constructive academic exchanges provided by numerous colleagues at the university, which laid a strong foundation for the visit. Both parties engaged in substantive discussions regarding the expansion of programme collaboration and the potential introduction of additional cutting-edge disciplines and high-quality educational initiatives.

This visit has produced significant outcomes and carries far-reaching opportunities. We look forward to further strengthening our collaboration with Aston University and elevating our educational partnership to new heights, providing students in Singapore and globally with high-quality, forward-looking learning opportunities.

This strengthened partnership with Aston University marks an exciting new chapter for the East Asia Institute of Management. By delivering quality programmes and global perspectives to our students, EAIM continues to empower the next generation of leaders with the skills, knowledge, and international exposure needed to excel in today’s rapidly evolving business and healthcare landscape.
