The Diploma in Business and Psychology offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines principles of business with insights from psychology to equip students with a holistic understanding of human behaviour in organizational contexts. This program explores various aspects of business management, including marketing, finance, operations, while also delving into psychological theories and methodologies relevant to human resource management, and marketing and organizational development. Students gain practical skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication, preparing them for diverse career paths in fields such as human resources, marketing research, management consulting, and organizational psychology. This module introduces students to the fundamentals of management including the roles and functions of modern managers. It covers management theory, organizational theory, as well as aspects of organizational environments, human resource planning, corporate social responsibility and ethics. Understanding these areas enable students to identify their role as emerging or future managers, and how leadership can influence positive contributions to individuals and organizations.

This module aims to equip learners with the knowledge of organizational dynamics with an emphasis on worker motivation, behaviour, and output. Students will understand how people interact in their workplaces, covering across like communication, team dynamics, leadership, and organizational culture. It looks into how techniques such as stress management, employee motivation, and conflict resolution might improve well-being, productivity, and job satisfaction in businesses. It is essential to comprehend how people behave at work, including the elements that influence job happiness and performance.

This module is designed to provide students with basic concepts, tools and techniques that financial managers use in the contemporary business context. Students will learn about the principle functions of financial managers, the different business structures, and capital markets and financial securities. Student will also examine the valuation of investments and portfolio, project evaluation, the cost of capital, market efficiency, risk management, basics of foreign exchange and international financial market, and dividend policy.

This module introduces students to the scientific study of social behaviour, and to the process of empirical research and report writing as an essential skill for applied psychology. Social behaviour is introduced as the study of social processes at a number of levels from the individual level through to more broadly based social phenomena. Some of the major concepts and areas of social psychology are introduced (e.g., social research methods, socialization, self-esteem, altruism, aggression, attitudes, communication, interpersonal relationships, family issues, prejudice, group processes, cultural considerations, leadership and social influence).

This module is designed to cover origins of trading goods and services and the development of modern marketing practice and theory. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of marketing principles and their application when acquiring and retaining customers as well as driving business profitability. Students will examine innovative marketing strategies deployed including digital marketing and social media in different kinds of organizations.

This module is designed to provide students with basic accounting techniques and explains how they are applied from an internal and external perspective to the organization. Students will consider how accounting information can be used to make informed financial and managerial decisions.

This module allows students to gain an essential overview of essential human resource (HR) strategies in the People Management unit. This unit will introduce students to the strategic and sustainable roles of HR, workforce planning, work design, emerging employment models (the digital and distributed workforce, automation), talent attraction, retention and development, performance management, rewards and holistic employee experiences.

This module is designed to cover the methods of research used to answer psychological questions. It will explore the techniques and utilize SPSS to engage students to explore basic approaches to research design and data analysis, and issues that affect decision making in research. The aim of this module is to provide a foundation for understanding the process of psychological inquiry and to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to critically evaluate studies in the psychological literature. Specific emphasis will be on interpretation and design of research in psychology.
